Compatible equipment

You don't need recording equipment to make great videos, but if you want to invest and sharpen up, here are the devices I have used personally and tested specifically with Demo Scope:

• Mic + digital interface
  • Any USB mic will do, but I prefer the Audio-Technica AT2035. Many people use Shure's MV7 podcast mic instead. If your mic has studio (XLR) wires, you'll need a digital interface to get it into your phone or iPad. I use the Shure MVX2U. Audio-Technica AT2035 · Shure MVX2U
  • A desk stand with a shock mount and windscreen keeps the AT2035 at mouth height. Mic stand
• Key light
  • The NEEWER GL25B sits behind the camera. Brightness and colour temperature are on a remote. NEEWER GL25B
• Webcam (iPad only)
  • The Anker PowerConf C200 plugs into the iPad's USB-C port and Demo Scope switches to it automatically. iPhones don't accept external cameras. Anker PowerConf C200
• Device holder, iPad + iPhone
  • The Lamicall gooseneck arm clamps to the desk and fits anything from a 4.7" phone to a 13" iPad. Lamicall gooseneck arm
